One of the best songs ever written. Period. The structure, the feel, the lyrics, amazing guitar solo, and even a great topic. We all share this planet. We should all be held accountable for this world we live in. We need to take care of one another.

This is the song that convinced me to give the Pumpkins a real listen to. It really embodies what they're about: dynamics. This is a great song about lost love. We've all been there when we see something that reminds us of someone from the past that we couldn't quite get over. If you haven't, you will.

Ok, I realize at first Corgan's voice is annoying, but after a friend force fed the CD to me, I began to kinda like it. Billy knows he can't sing, but he decided to because he knew no one would sing it with the passion that he wanted. The passion he felt. I have alot of respect for that. I really associate with this line because I feel like I have had to prove myself my entire life. This song makes me want to get in the car and blast my stereo so loud I can't hear myself sing.

Great example of an epic song. This song reminds me of when I went thru the troubled teen stage that almost all of us go through. Or if you have a troubled friend, that you want to help so desperately, but they won't tell you what's wrong. They grow cold and silent. Great band.

Remember Two Things - Dave Matthews Band
SEEK UP:

This song is amazing. It's one of those songs you like even if you don't like the band. If all you've heard of them is their radio stuff, then go back and give them another listen. I absolutely hate their radio stuff. They have a way of putting you in a good mood. This lyric holds extremely true to me. You can't just always change how you feel. If you think you can, then the time hasn't arose to truly test you.

This is hands down one of the best love songs ever. Just a beautiful lyric from a beautiful song. I think of all the singers, I can feel Vedder's emotion the most. His voice over acoustic guitar is amazing. Well, as far as the good songs go. Problem with Pearl Jam is the song is either good, or awful. Pretty much no inbetween. This album is amazing start to finish. One of my top five.

Travelers and Thieves - Blues Traveler

I know what you're thinking. Blues Traveler? Before they really made it big, they were great. Plus, John Pauper is a truly amazing song writer. This is a wonderful song. This lyric makes me think of the situation where you fall in love with your best friend that you're always with, and for some reason you have to tell her how you feel, even though you know damn well she doesn't feel the same, and it could, and probably will, ruin your friendship. At least for awhile. True friends always find their way back.

This is one of those context lyrics. By itself, just a cliche rhyme, but in the song it makes me want to defy authority. Great song from the band that inspired me to learn guitar and drums.

Ok, so I might have cheated a little bit on this one. Honestly, I don't care for alot of the bands that fit in this particular genre. Like Three Days Grace, for example. This band is head and shoulders above their rivals. Great musicians (Although this song is very basic for drums, I love intricate drumming, and Chad Zeliga is amazing) and Ben's voice is so powerful. Plus, he actually tries to write a good song. This line makes you just want to give 'em hell!

Probably my favorite Cure song. This one and "Yet another movie" by Pink Floyd are my absolute favorite to drive to. This song is actually on The Crow soundtrack. A simple, true statement.

There's something very reflective in this song. I guess it's the fact that we all let go of something we should have held on to. I love the feel of this song. Also, I recently realized that I love when lightning is used in a song.

I'm really weird about my music(as I'm sure we all are), and I wouldn't have thought I would like a song entitled "Evil Angel", but I do. This is another context lyric. Nothing special, just don't give up. Once again, I love the power in his voice.

Mumford & Sons - Timshel - Mumford & Sons
HOLD ON TO WHAT YOU BELIEVE:

I just fell in love with this band recently. Never would have thought I'd listen to banjo on a regular occasion. He does a wonderful job of writing lyrical hooks. This line just makes me want to believe.

Ok, this is my very first list, so take it easy on me. Writing a song isn't easy, and coming up with one line that's either genius or descriptive, even harder. Sometimes the genius is in the way the line is sung. Alot of these lines are like that. I love obscure songs and lyrics, but I really love it when it's a simple lyric that packs a punch emotionally. So these are some of my favorites. I left out really popular songs(at least I tried to), so there maybe some you don't know.
I put a variety in here and I ask if you watch the videos, watch them all the way thru. I love big endings. Also, TURN IT UP! You have to FEEL the music!
