Hellfriends (2016)
Demon Bitch might sound like a funny name for band, but do not be fooled: this album kicks some serious ass. The overall style is more like 83-84's US power metal with some of the best guitarwork of the whole subgenre, there's just endless amounts of tasty licks and riffs that keep on coming and coming.
It's all killer, zero filler.

Burn The Night - Riot City
Awesome, awesome record. These dudes clearly know their classics, mainly bands like Painkiller-era Judas Priest and Riot.
One of my absolute favourite metal albums of 2019.

Darth Brutus's rating:
Paradiser EP - Venator
I've never had so much fun listening to a metal ep. That's really saying something.
Darth Brutus's rating:
Conqueror's Oath - Visigoth
Killer album. Think about late 80's Riot with more operatic baritone vocals. They even made a song about Highlander films. How cool is that?
I've had lots of fun listening to this one.

From Beyond - Enforcer
90% out of this records is just old cliches, but there IS a genuine personality to be found here.
Darth Brutus's rating:
Traveler - TRAVELER
One of the best of its kind. A fantastic record, if not production-wise as polished as the previous two.

Times Of Obscene Evil And Wild Daring - Smoulder
I have no idea what's up with Canada these days, but man, do they produce some quality stuff. First Riot City and Traveler and now this!
Darth Brutus's rating:
Other World - Ancient Empire
The only thing I really don't like about this album is the weak production. But hey, it's retro, so why not?
Darth Brutus's rating:
Aggressive Hauntings - Midnight Priest
Awesome record with your classic "King Diamond goes Judas Priest" vibe. If it wasn't for the self-repeating nature of this album, it would probably be my favourite one.
Darth Brutus's rating:
High Risk (2018)
Very basic, but fun blue collar metal. Doesn't offer any surprises, but it's still awesome.
Darth Brutus's rating:
NWOTHM stands for newer retro-metal bands from the 2000's inspired by blue collar metal done in the early 80's or so.
