North by Northwest is the most entertaining classy film in the history of cinema. I first saw it aged about 14. Along with the intrigue, wit and suspense, one of the film's glamorous pleasures was the seductive beauty of Eva Marie Saint. She may have been a bit old for me at the time, but no matter. Of course, Cary Grant is great too: a fine couple they make.
