My Top 20 Anime Movies

As a oldschool digimon-fan it was very cool to see how the characters grewed up, the fights in this movie was spectacular and at the end i was like Tay and Matt... Great Movie.

We had a lot of very cool Conan-movies, but this one was my highlight and favourite one. The parallels between Conan and Sherlock Holmes are omnipresent as always, but culminated in this movie.

Maki was a char i liked in the first season, but in this movie she became a favourite-charakter contender for me. The ending is a nice view to the second season and whats coming there. Fights and actionscenes wasn´t really on first-season-level but it´s a movie any JJK-fan should see.

The first one of a lot ghibli movies in my list and definitly a must watch. Same as Totoro i´m a guy who wants to be forever young and like any other ghibli-movie it´s heartwarming and magical.

This movie is set in the 60´s and the story and settings are so realistic and credible you can´t stop watching. I was really in to it, Shun and Umi are great MC´s.

This is the first movie from Makoto Shinkai i saw in my life and damn is this a great one. This movie runs just 45 minutes but the story thats telled in this time is awesome. Oh.. it´s raining outside, i gotta go. ;)

The most other shounen´s introduce a new character and when he´s a fan-favorite they slaugthed it out for merch and publicity. This movie makes something not much shounen would dare and shows why demon slayer isn´t just good animation, it´s a dark story with a lot of great char´s. Amazing.

This movie connects the 1. and 2. season of one of my favourite animes of all time and just like the anime himself its unexpected dark and brutal. The char´s that introduced in this movie are lovely as always and the antagonist is a damn asshole without any doubt.

The story of this ghibli movie is based on a man who build´s a special airplane in the 2. world war. Sometimes there are big time jumps but you´ll never lose the focus and how all of this culiminates is stunning.

Who doesn´t know it, you do your thing and random come´s a girl falling from the sky? Same sh*t every day, i think. :D But to be honest its a magical and fantastic movie, a Hayao Mizaki masterclass and the "flying-scenes" were awsome.

The MC is turned from a young lady to a older woman and goes with the moving castle on a magical journey through a war. This setting is special like the most ghibli-movies and shows how brillant Hayao Miyazaki is. The animations in this movie where so damn good sometimes it feels like a reallife movie.

Demon´s, a great journey and again the m.v.p.: Hayao Miyazaki. This movie show´s in a nutshell why ghibli is so amazing and makes all-time-banger.

Anyone who watched this movie will love it. It´s so damn realistic and themes like rassism where showed in a stunning way. It takes your heart not with the big moments , it takes your heart with the small ones.

Two brothers get seperated from their parents by a bomb in the second world war. This is not a magical, fantasy film like the most ghibli-movies. This one has a realistic, hard, and sad story that rips your heart of.

While watching this i felt always like Tsuneo. First "we" didn´t understand Josee and hate her a bit and after all the things that happened we liked her a lot. It´s a heartwarming and stunning story you won´t forget.

The most people had movies they can watch every year, like "Home alone" for example and this one here is exactly that for me. Just like my 1. Place i watched this movie a lot in my life and it´s always fascinating. The world my boy Hayao is creating here with lots of great characters, twists and storylines is awesome. If you didn´t watched any ghibli-movie in your life, let this be your first one.

You do something in your younger years you regret a lot, sometimes you think about it and dismiss it as a mistake. But the MC of this movie goes on a redemption and any scene, talk between characters and recoil hit´s me a lot. A really amazing film that will make you speechless.

If you read this title you be like "ok.. wierd?", while watching this you check it´s really the theme and you will be more like "OK?!?...wierd!". But the more the story goes and you know about the two MC´s it´s breathtaking. The ending is so unpredictible and i was like, it´s not real, it´s not real...but it was. In the middle of this movie was a clash between the two MC´s and it was so realistic and hard, i felt like a part of the clash. I will never forget this great movie.

The most anime-fans said that "Steins:Gate" has the best time travel story, but to be honest it´s always on my pile of shame.. So for me has the best time travel story definitly this masterpiece of a movie, without a doubt. The charactercs are so real they can be neighbours in reallife, the story is filled with stunning moments and twists and it´s definitly a rewatch classic for me. 11/10.

Welcome to the absolute Peak of Makoto Shinkai. I recommend this movie to anyone, anime-fan or not. Collegues at work i telled about or girl´s i invited for a movie night, anyone liked this movie and was stunned after that. I doesn´t want to tell anything about this movie because i think anyone needs to see it. It´s my favourite movie of all-time not just in the anime genre. The soundtrack from Radwimps is always in my playlist and anything fits here 100%. 100/10.
