Movies and TV Shows According to My Dreams

Sort by: Showing 6 items

Me and my sister walked walked into the theater where the next showing of the movie was a little too early to find out that the movie ends with Edith and Mr. Krupp sitting on top of the school, looking at a banner that they had painted which was on the other side of town, possibly celebrating the downfall of Professor Poopypants. They then romantically stare at each other as George and Harold played happily together in the front of the school. This made me want to go back to the theater to see the movie on another day instead of that day for no reason. When I went returned to my house, I asked my mom to wash my dress for my Professor Poopypants cosplay and give it to me the next day so I could wear it to the movie. Later on, I learned via some online article on my Facebook feed that Professor Poopypants dies by getting sucked into some sort of portal created by the Hypo-Ring. (The article was called something to the effect of “Let’s Talk About Professor Poopypants’ Death Scene in Captain Underpants”) I also decided to download the soundtrack on Apple Music, which had a song sung by Nick Kroll and a choir of kids (according to the artist listing on the track) as the last track...that you actually had to buy the whole album to hear, since the song's title was greyed out on the track listing on Apple Music.

I went to some sort of party my cousins were having inside some place in a mall where an alternate version of the "Missing Underpants" bonus feature was playing silently on the TV screen that some children were watching. The deleted scene that was playing had Professor Poopypants in jail, either singing or complaining about something, presumably wanting revenge. I couldn't tell because the volume was off. It also played at the end, as the copyright notice appeared at the end, which was accompanied by a video of George and Harold happily running from an angry Mr. Krupp, which was drawn in the style of their comics.

A trailer for The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, the TV show based on this film, appeared on Dav Pilkey’s birthday, and contained an anime-style mecha fight with no relation to Captain Underpants which took up half of the trailer, a character similar to Coach Steve from Big Mouth who sounded like Nick Kroll (despite him not being on the cast list), and only George and Harold appeared, who disguised as a tall man and sounded like grown men with deep voices, appeared in the trailer. The ending also had sounds of someone stepping or bouncing around, and I thought it was the tiny Professor Poopypants, but this wasn’t confirmed, as the trailer ended after that.

A deleted scene that I watched on a LeapPad contained Professor Poopypants hearing laughter in his mind and speaking to himself. At one point at the beginning, his hairstyle “melted” into the Nobel Prize one, and stayed that way for the entire scene.

I saw yet another trailer for The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants: it was in CGI that was almost as good as the original film’s, and Professor Poopypants returned, but wore his Nobel Prize hairstyle and talked in a teasing tone of voice throughout the entire thing. He wore this hairstyle because according to the handbook for the series, Professor Poopypants’ previous hairstyle was ruined when he crashed into a tree while riding a bee. Professor Poopypants sounded a lot like Nick Kroll, but like my last trailer dream, he wasn’t listed in the cast list. Apparently Dee Bradley Baker was playing him. In addition, only Harold was played by a kid actor.

The movie was broadcasted on TV at the same time the “night before” screenings were in theater, and there was nothing worth spoiling. It was basically about Rey traveling around the galaxy with Luke Skywalker.

A trailer for a version of this film that was nothing like the real film played during a 2-day Best Picture marathon. It started out with two twin girls being grabbed by a mysterious person. The screen cuts to black, and we hear the girls scream as they are presumably murdered by this person. We then cut to scenes of what looks like an apocalypse where the world is being bizarrely bent out of shape and defying all laws of gravity.

For some bizzare reason, a 50-minute Christmas special for this show got nominated in the Best Feature category at the Oscars, and was screened at the aforementioned 2-day Best Picture marathon. I saw nothing from this special aside from the theme song.

In the version of the film I watched, the Baron apparently has a wife. That's all I could remember, especially since I haven't seen the real film.

The movie, which contains commentary by AniMat despite being a theatrical movie and not an AniMat’s Reviews episode, starts out with a tour of the city, where, in a Pixar-like way (as described in the commentary), we see giant bronze statues of Juliet and the lamp from Disney’s Aladdin. After this tour of the city, AniMat then points out that this will NOT be like a Pixar or Disney film.
