Moulin Rouge! (2001)
Difficult to say why I love this movie so much. It is the kind of movie you've watched when you were younger and much more unexperienced and now you're somehow afraid to put into you DVD player again.
But one thing I can admit proudly (:D!). I've listened to this soundtrack practically a hundred of times and always loved it! ♥
(And, by the way, Nicole and Ewan did greatly in this movie. We all know they're wonderful actors but who could have ever imagined they were also talented singers?!)

Mamma Mia! (2008)
My very first experience of ABBA and their music. A very good one, I have to say. Loved the movie, loved the soundtrack, loved the light-hearted spirit of it all! ♥

Across the Universe (2007)
Never finished to watch this one, even though I was finally appreciating The Beatles' music in it! A real pity 'cause I was really enjoying the cast and the overall story! D: (But I'm planning to re-watch it fully asap!!!)
ATTENTION! SPOILERS AHEAD!

Such an underrated movie this is! ;_; Interesting story (an insight into a fictional David-Bowiesh character named Maxwell Demon), lots of talented actors (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Ewan McGregor, Christian Bale, Toni Colette), particular songs (featuring famous musicians too), good director (Todd Haynes) & BRITISH-NESS EVERYWHERE!

Love Songs (2007)
I'm literally obsessed with these songs lately and I can't even explain why! Maybe is the beauty of French language mixed up with the surprisingly good voices of all the cast!
(If you'd ever want to give this movie a try, make sure you look at Louis Garrel's gestures carefully. He is sooo good in this movie!)

Liked the movie or not, you still shall agree with me that some of the songs (especially the lyrics) are pure genius!

Animation
Most of the music featured in this section are indissolubly tied to my childhood and therefore many of the songs here are actually sung in Italian (which is a surprisingly good language to use, sometimes!), exactly as I learned to love them! ♥
Anastasia (1997)
(I actually wanted to show a different song-clip but found none that suited on the Internet! A great pity, 'cause Tosca, who lends her beautiful voice to princess Anastasia in the Italian version, is so gifted!)

The Lion King (1994)
(After a long time spent trying to choose which of the songs I'd show on the list, I finally picked up this one because of Ivana Spagna's great voice!!!)
Hercules (1997)
I have to admit I didn't like Hercules very much when I was a child. But I eventually revalued it: it's hilarious and its songs are really great!
(You may also want to listen to the most beautiful Go To The Distance sung by Alex Baroni!)

Treasure Planet (2002)
I know the original version of this song is by Goo Goo Dolls' John Rzeznik but Max Pezzali has been my childhood hero. So, there's no match, don't you think? :D

Requiem for a Dream (2000)
I don't think I need to introduce this 'cause basically everyone has listened to Lux Aeterna at least once, but if you haven't done it yet here's your chance.
This is probably one of the best pieces of music ever written. Nothing less.

A Single Man (2009)
I don't know what this song does to me. I almost cry, every time I listen to it.
(Aaand, the whole soundtrack is pretty interesting too, as to match with the movie itself!)

The world of classical music has always charmed me and frightened me at the same time with its closeness. But this movie showed me that classical music is not something just a few elected people can enjoy, classical music is a gift to everyone who's willing to listen.

Amélie (2001)
Amélie's musical accompaniment is unforgettable! I've listen to the whole soundtrack tons of times and it's always as beautiful and fresh as ever! ♥
Mocchan's rating:
Il divo (2008)
It was sooo difficult to find a proper clip to show on the list. The movie soundtrack is the most eclectic I've ever listen but what is most surprising is that it fit perfectly to the film. Which is amazing and everyone should watch. (Even though it deals with Italian history and politics and may be a bit difficult to understand..!)
Mocchan's rating:
Into the Wild (2007)
When I first watched the movie, I got stunned by it and the soundtrack by Eddie Vedder is definitely part of its magic, I swear!
Mocchan's rating:
Beautiful voice (aka amazing Annie Lennox) + beautiful music + beautiful words = good way to end a long journey!
Mocchan's rating:
Good music always makes a good start and Enya is so precious!
Gladiator (2000)
As I said when I was introducing Lux Aeterna, I'm sure everyone of you has already listen to this majestic song. Its beauty has no time nor space...
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
This movie soundtrack is brilliant! As a lot of good songs are featured it is a real pleasure to listen to. And, moreover, Regina Spektor once again! ♥
Juno (2007)
Happy-go-lucky soundtrack is made of win! :D
(And this particular track is so oddly sweet I really love it!)

I have to admit I'm a bit embarrassed to say I liked this movie and its soundtrack but, in the end, I really did! The film features some great songs (even if they are a little too sentimental, maybe?)!
Mocchan's rating:
What I really love about this soundtrack are Switchfoot's songs!
(Note: Even though Mandy Moore's version of Only Hope is good, I still think the original Switchfoot's one is better!)

Mocchan's rating:
The first time I listened to this movie soundtrack I found it nothing special, apart from the Speech song (aka the track below). But now that I think about it, I've become quite fond of the whole soundtrack: an interesting mix of classical music and original pieces!
Mocchan's rating:
This movie soundtrack reminds me of the Il Divo one. (Or it is the other way round?!) I really like the idea of nowadays music into such a "historical" contexts and I think that the music did really well in the movie itself. Unfortunately, though, I didn't like to listen to the soundtrack album very much, don't know why..!
Brokeback Mountain (2005)
When I first watched this movie, I was really impressed by the track below, "The Wings". Even now, after a few years, when I think about Brokeback Mountain, I think about this song. It feels like the score can define the atmosphere of the movie better than the movie itself..!
Mocchan's rating:
As every Harry Potter fan out there, I just can't stop humming every time I hear this! :D
Mocchan's rating:
This is just too good to leave it out of the list! :D
My Sassy Girl (2001)
Beautiful piece of piano music for a beautiful and extra-funny movie! You should all watch it 'cause it would make your day, I swear!
Mocchan's rating:
Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
I just couldn't leave it out of the list 'cause this short song is so nice and Audrey has a surprisingly good voice too! ♥
Mocchan's rating:
Movies soundtracks I love and therefore you should all listen to, at least once! :D
