One of the best movies that I have watched this year. I overlooked this film and damn do I regret it. This film (easily) is in my top 50 movies of all time.
Oh, and yes the sex scenes are graphic, but for a reason. It adds to the story. Honestly.

Traitor (2008)
This movie is fantastic. Full of espionage, double crosses and plently of 'splosions. Traitor in my opinion is one of those movies that flew under the radar. (Sorry for the pun.)
Mr. Lays's rating:

Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Dolph Lundgren has killed all wannabe "Punisher" actors that have came after him. This film never had a chance. Amazingly, I think that this film would have faired better by toning down the violence. Some scenes just have way to much overkill. Take not of the unfortunate headshot that Newman's (yes, that Newman from Sienfeld) granny is given.

I am a sucker for those "Fact Based Fiction" movies and books. It makes me want to Wikipedia (the film or book) as soon as the credits end. And this one was no exception. I enjoyed this movie.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Bedtime Stories (2008)
I am not in anyway, shape or form a fan of Adam Sandlers' films and this is no exception. It's not a horrible film by any means just not a film you would watch if your kid(s) didn't insist that you watched with them. Watching bad movies is a miniscule task of being a parent.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Doubt (2008)
Strep does it again. I am upset that I slept on this movie when it intially debuted. What a fantastic film. And think those "actors" from The Hills receive up $90k per episode?!
Mr. Lays's rating:

Whenever I hear talk of a prequel (in any format) instantly I think that somebody is milking the franchise dry (Read: It will be shit). It may have been the case for this movie, but I was pleastantly pleased (Read: Surprised). Underworld: Rise of the Lycans wraped up the triology nicely.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Damn I enjoyed this movie right till the last 30 minutes or so when the "antagonist" is revealed. Another warning that our own devices we build to make life simpler could destroy us. *sigh* Dangers of technology. *blah*
Mr. Lays's rating:

The biggest dissappoinment of the year. If I was to list all of the cons that I had with this film I would have wrote a review.
Grand Assault's review almost echos exactly how I feel.

Hotel For Dogs (2009)
Decent family flick. I enjoyed this more than Bedtime Stories. I hope those Disney kids can get work when they are older that just kid related stuff. If they want to expand.
Mr. Lays's rating:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
What the French toast did I just watch? I mean, really what in the hell did I just watch? This movie was dangerously close to appearing on my "Lowering IQ" movie list. The producers knew they could put out a steaming one and the kids would flock to it. Beware Fox Studios people have been burned. Your sequel might flop because of this one. Who am I kidding? The same crowd will flock to it again.

Damn, I was still in a diaper when this movie was released. Simply put it is one of Norris' better movies. And yes you are correct if you said to yourself, "That doesn't say alot."
Mr. Lays's rating:

There are some watchable scenes in this movie. Um, and that's all I am going to say about that. I mean come on it's Chuck Norris!
Mr. Lays's rating:

This movie was the third and final film in a friend's "Nuthugger Norris Night". Brillant idea if you want to lose your friends in the matter of 6 hours. If your wondering if I still associate with this "friend"...I do!
Mr. Lays's rating:

Notorious (2009)
Much better than I expected it to be. Oddly critics somewhat give this movie a favorable review while word of mouth was hard on it. Although being a Biggie fan might render my opinion bias. The job on Tupac was horrendous. It was done for a reason I am sure...
Mr. Lays's rating:

Epic Movie (2007)
Do these types of movies (Superhero Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, Just Shit Movie) come out of the same place that makes the Xbox360?
What does that have in common you ask?
The high faliure rate!
*drum snare*

Balls of Fury (2007)
Everybody swore on their first born that this was a gut buster of a movie. Well you how how this ends don't you?
Mr. Lays's rating:

Star Trek (2009)
I did not expect this film to be just for the hard core Trekkies, but JJ Abrhams has done it again. Excellent film even though I have no big intrest in the Star Trek franchise.
Mr. Lays's rating:

I personally am not a fan of depressing movies...so this took alot of build up for me to watch. Excellent performances for all of the supporting cast. This is just to sad for me to recommend a second viewing.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Hot Fuzz (2007)
After the romp that was Shaun of the Dead, most of the team retuns and this is no diffrent. The film gets a little dark and preachy for a moment, but it doesn't take away from the comdey.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Friday the 13th (2009)
Not just satisfied with being one of the worst remakes in history. Friday the 13th is one of the worst movies this year. All of the teenage breasts in the world could not save this film.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Watchmen (2009)
One of the best movies of the year. I love how Zack Synder casts relativitly unkown actors in a big budget film. The performances usually are better. (IMO) Too bad the same reason that this film was praised was the same reason that people disliked it. The running time also turned off plently of people. Personally the movie should have been longer to flesh out the story better.
A must watch! By any means!

Evetrything in this film works. The attire and production design work really well. One problem oddly is the sound editing. At moments when something is happening there is dead silence...
Clearly I am no Micheal Mann, but at thime the movie almost feels unfinished. Even the actors voices' are not in sync. Odd.

The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007)
I don't give a damn what IMDb says this movie renewed some faith about American horror films again. Just being gory isn't enough and this movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I loved it.
Mr. Lays's rating:

This is a diffrent take on stoner films. These guys shoot up the bad guys, are immortal and have awesome wire work. Honestly, I am quite surprised that it took so long for the "stoner's stoner" of actor to emerge.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Body of Lies (2008)
As mentioned eariler in the breif of Tratior I am a sucker for spy movies. I love this film. I always though that Leo was an average actor, but after the last few movies he has been starred in...I am somewhat a fan now.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Munich (2005)
Where have I been to sleep on such a fantastic film? This is definitly going in my Top 50 Favorite Films. (If I ever get arouund to writing it!)
Mr. Lays's rating:

The Omen (2006)
Even the satanic release date of 6/6/06 didn't help this horrid remake.
