Movie Diary September 2014

Of course it was terrible. It was a direct to video "sequel". But my dog liked it!

Errr my GOD. So good. I was completely enchanted by this movie. THIS is how you do a summer blockbuster! The whole time I was focusing on the incredible makeup transformations, though. It was just so good.
Everybody praised Groot, and I too loved him, but Rocket was my favorite...or maybe Peter was my favorite. It is really a toss up.

Really not a Western kinda gal. But my intro to film class is doing a unit on it so ill be seeing a few. There was some really corny acting in here though. The best part was the oopsy marriage between Marty and the native.

Definitely different. Stay through the first 15 minutes and you'll probably enjoy it in that weird why do I like this kind of way.

Solid 7 in my book. Based on a true story, although it wasn't really told in a unique way it was still enjoyable.

Fun fact: this was shot on my great uncle's farm and he transported some of the crew in his crop duster :D

It was good. Different. Artistic. But there were definitely some dull moments. Nearly 4 minutes of just Go sleeping. Another 2 of him chewing his food.

Kudos on the ending. That's about it...

An interesting look at how zombie movies came into existence. I'm in a film studies class and this was one that we could choose to watch. I found it incredibly interesting how society reacts with film. Zombies embody the great contemporary fear − and, for some people, the great contemporary fantasy − that we’ll soon be surrounded by ravenous strangers, with only a shotgun to defend ourselves.

Re-watched this in class (did I mention that I'm taking a film studies class? Because I am. And it's wonderful). This was during our zombie unit and I think that I enjoyed it more with my second viewing. Maybe I was paying more attention this time. It's a good zombie movie for people that don't really like the gore and guts.
