X-Men (2000)
I had seen the newest X-Men movies, so i decided to go back and watch the first ones. I just love this series. I guess i'm a tad bit of a nerd, haha.
the worst part of this movie was Anna Paquin. i've never liked her, though. and i didnt even know that she was in the x-men series.

Mission: Impossible II (2000)
I never really had the desire to watch these movies, but i figured that i should at some point.
i was actually pleasently surprised. i don't see why people hate tom cruise so much, to be honest

Lydia's rating:

X2: X-Men United (2003)
I was pleased the the sequal lived up to my expectations. overall, this series is turning out to be excellent. marvel always seems to do a good job
Lydia's rating:

Honey (2003)
I am getting so sick and tired of all of these underdog dance movies. is the dancing good in this movie? yes. but not "my kind" of dancing, dialect, or music. so i didn't enjoy it.
Lydia's rating:

State of Play (2009)
I always love Rachel McAdams movies, and this was no exception. I loved the drama and mystery.
and you can always count on rachel to be wonderful

Breaking Wind (2012)
Little disclaimer: i do like the twilight series, but i think that they screwed up the movies (books are so much better)
this moive was hillarious, i just wish that there were less fart jokes and the like. i really dont get why spoofs much always make fun of bodily functions.
other than that, i really liked this parody

For some reason it felt like i had seen this movie before, but i couldn't remember 90% of it. in any case, i knew the resolution, but basically nothing else.
anyways, i really enjoyed this movie. i love thrillers like this.

Lydia's rating:

ehh, i'm pretty neutral about this movie. didn't hate it, didn't really like it all that much. it didn't really hold my attention; but neither did the first one.
Lydia's rating:

Watchmen (2009)
This was a very complex movie, and also very long.
its not that it didn't hold my intrest, but i felt lost through the majority of it. i know that this is typical for book-based movies, so i should probably read the novel if i want to truly enjoy the movie

Lydia's rating:

Freakonomics (2010)
Very, very interesting. I definitely would reccomend this to anybody.
Lydia's rating:

I don't really know what i was expecting when i decided to watch this movie. i had never seen anything with the smurfs, the only thing that i knew was that there was an addictive get-stuck-in-your-head song that they sing, that's why i waited so long to see it.
but it was actually really good. there are some very touching moments that i found very enjoyable.

Lydia's rating:

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
LOVED IT! Now that i have officially seen all of the X-Men movies, i can say that i am DEFINITELY a fan. :]
Lydia's rating:

Was this really necessary? it really felt like they were grasping at straws with this one. and that is coming from someone who actually DID like the first movie and is not totally annoyed by the chipmunk voices.
i did enjoy the reference to wilson and robinson crusoe (calloway, nerf, etc...)

Lydia's rating:

Mission: Impossible III (2006)
I had to finish up the trilogy before seeing the next movie. again, i was pretty pleasently surprised. i had never watched these movies because always seemed so cliche, but i actually did like it.
the only downside is that i'm not really into the super-long-everything-blows-up-every-ten-seconds type scenes.

Lydia's rating:

Chain Letter (2010)
i watched this movie on netflix mainly because i thought it sounded dumb. but it actually turned out to be pretty good! it made you take a hard look at technology and privacy in our world today.
Lydia's rating:

Meeting Evil (2012)
I'm not completely sure what I was expecting- but this wasn't it. however, it held my attention and I found it to be very good. Although the ending did confuse me a little.
Lydia's rating:

Martian Child (2007)
I've seen this movie before, but I am taking a Special Education course right now and we are curretnly talking about autisim, which made me think of this movie. I simply love this movie, it is so touching and heartwarming.
Lydia's rating:

this was pretty much your typical teenage movie. which means that i loved it. they are my guilty pleasures :]
i did enjoy that it was COMPLETELY typical (revolving around a frat house party and beer)

Lydia's rating:

Sleepy Hollow (1999)
It appears that i have picked quite a few good movies to watch this week. tim burton films are usually a bit "out there", and that's what i like about them! johnny deepe did fantastic as always. and not knowing the story before going into it helped with the suspense.
i'm a fan

Lydia's rating:

Catch Me if You Can (2002)
Movies based on true stories are always great to watch. I enjoyed this movie and it did keep my attention. not my absolute favorite, but definitely made you think,
Lydia's rating:

The Perfect Storm (2000)
Not going to lie, I couldn't even finish this movie. I know that some people might like it, but I was bored out of my mind.
Sorry.
Sorry.
Lydia's rating:

Okay, another miss for me. I like stop-motion, but something about this one just really freaked me out. And hearing Geroge Cloony's sexy voice coming out of such a creepy fox really did it for me.
Lydia's rating:

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)
It's always nice to watch a movie with a unique concept like this one. :]
this movie was very refreshing and i enjoyed it very much.

Lydia's rating:

I'm always a big advocate for a good animated movie. In my opinion, this was one. I really don't have anything negative to say about it, honestly.
Lydia's rating:

Black Christmas (2006)
well, i don't know why i thought that this would be good. i suppose it was decent, but the gore was not really appealing to me at all. there are two things that i hate: injuries to eyes and death in water. this movie has one, i wont say which
Lydia's rating:

The Divide (2011)
This is one of those "wtf" movies that gets more and more strange the farther into it you get. Very dark, very creepy to think about if you were placed in such a situation. I'm still in the air about this movie.
Lydia's rating:

I usually do not like period movies, but this was an exception. Based on a true story, and quite funny. Definitely not for children, though.
A hit in my book
A hit in my book
Lydia's rating:

This movie really kept me guessing up until the end. I like movies where you keep second guessing who the antagonist is. So another hit for me :]
Lydia's rating:

I can't really say that I'm a fan, sorry.
And by the way, why in all spy movies do they say "here is your mission IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT?" You know that they are going to accept. Geez

Lydia's rating:

The Darkest Hour (2011)
LOVED IT. It was very well executed. There are many other movies similar to it, ill admitt that, but for some reason this on kept my attention
Lydia's rating:

Lost in Translation (2003)
A little dull in my opinion, but there were definitely some funny moments. I really don't have too much to say about it, to be honest.
Lydia's rating:

The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
I saw this in the theater. It was very...different. I really don't know how else to describe it. But I liked it. It was not what I was expecting, that is for sure. It was a good mix of comedy, horror, and mystery. I enjoyed, just, different.
Lydia's rating:

Silent Hill (2006)
I've seen it before, but I didn't even realize it until a ways into the movie. I guess that tells you how much it impacted me. My second viewing was not that much more influencial, i must say.
Lydia's rating:

The Double (2011)
Don't you hate it when you think you've figured it out and then you really haven't? that pretty much sums up this movie.
I enjoyed it, though :]
I enjoyed it, though :]
Lydia's rating:

Contraband (2012)
Typical drug-run movie. Typical mark walburg. not bad, just typical.
Lydia's rating:

Bad Ass (2012)
It just really wasn't mind kind of movie. I guess it could be good, but it wasn't for me.
Sorry, miss.
Sorry, miss.
Lydia's rating:

Blitz (2011)
I keep watching action movies tyring to find some that i like. and while it wasn't bad i still wasn't impressed. although i did enjoy the sexy british accent ;]
Lydia's rating:

The Rebound (2009)
I thought that this was going to be a comedy, i don't know if i would classify it as that, but i really liked it. it was a very sweet storyline- and a heartwarming ending is always good :]
Lydia's rating:

Underworld: Evolution (2006)
Ehh, it was okay. A little dark for me, but i knew that going in.
Lydia's rating:

Such a cute movie! It really reminded me of the good old animation that Disney used to create- and those are my favorite :]
Lydia's rating:

The Skulls (2000)
One word to describe this movie: underrated. That, of course, is my opinion. But I found it very well done.
Lydia's rating:

Winnie the Pooh (2011)
AWESOME! It was just like old times
As a matter of fact I had to do a lot of poking around to make sure that I had actually downloaded the 2011 movie. They did a wonderful job :]

Lydia's rating:

Requiem for a Dream (2000)
strange. strange. strange.
yeah...
that's all I can even say
yeah...
that's all I can even say
Lydia's rating:

The Fountain (2006)
This one is by the same director as requiem for a dream, so I was skeptical. It was fairly confusing, but decent.
Lydia's rating:

Moneyball (2011)
I would have liked this movie better if i understood more about baseball, but since i'm a little ignorant when it comes to sports, i'm sure that there were referances and puns that i didn't catch. but it was still interesting, i love me a good true story :]
Lydia's rating:

So cute :]
I love Garfield. The first movie was better, but it wasn't bad for a sequal.

Lydia's rating:

The Skulls II (2002)
Again, i feel like this movie has been overlooked, but did "The Skulls" really need a sequal? Probably not. But it was still decent. i'd reccomend it
Lydia's rating:

The Mist (2007)
I was expecting something with ghosts or something. But what i got was totally different, and I liked it. The ending was very well executed as well.
