Okay, not necessarily an awful film, but most people think the ending of this film is. A lot of people shouldered the blame for that on Spielberg, for trying to make a whimsical ending to what was initially a haunting Sci-Fi film. However, the ending was actually Stanley Kubrick's idea, and Spielberg kept the idea out of respect for the late director's wishes.

In order for Edward D. Wood Jr. to be able to use archival footage of his friend, Bela Lugosi after his death, Ed Wood wrote the script in such a way so as to include those scenes in the film. He also asked his wife's chiropractor, Tom Mason, to double for Lugosi for pick-up shots, despite the fact that he looked nothing like him (this was attempted to be shielded, by having him cover his face with a cape) and was much taller than Lugosi.

Street Fighter (1994)
Raul Julia was aware that he was dying of stomach cancer. He knew he would only have the strength to make one more movie. He was offered a fair amount of roles and asked his two sons to pick his last role, and they, being fans of the video game, picked this film. He accepted it. The result is a hammy, but unforgettable performance, that is widely considered by everyone to easily be the best part of this film. He died a few months after filming was complete due to complications following a stroke.
This is a list of terrible motion pictures, but behind the scenes, there was something heartwarming or just all around nice that happened, that makes it hard to truly hate these films.
