Dorino Serafini was Italian champion in 1933 (175 cc.; M.M.) and in 1935 (500 cc.; Bianchi), and European champion in 1939 (500 cc.; Gilera). After the war he became a car racer and gained the 2nd place in the Mille Miglia in 1950, on Ferrari. (The race was won by Count Giannino Marzotto, on Ferrari).
He retired after a dramatic car accident in the course of the Mille Miglia in 1951.
