The story and characters still are the best part of this game even if it aged pretty poorly otherwise. There were moments were the gameplay almost made me quit multiple times. Also the game isn't pretty to look at and the worlds feel pretty empty. There were times were I was confused because there's like 15 faces in the game and so I got some characters mixed up. I never played it when it was released but remembered my classmates spoiling the story for me and I still remembered the twist. This reminded me of Mass Effect quite much unsurprisingly. The soundtrack was great one too.

Like the first game of this series this feels like you are playing a season of the show. The humor is great with Trey Parker and Matt Stone (and their show running team) being so involved with this. Stick of Truth had some technical issues like frame rate drops and other smaller performance issues that interfered with the immersion. This ran smoothly and I only had one performance problem when the game froze (I tried to beat the taco place owner after the game was finished)after playing it quite long already.

*Biggest negative: Not enough Randy even if he had some good scenes in this.

Well, it took 106 hours but finally the first playthrough is done and Divinity achieved. This game is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. I have the first Divinity: Original Sin on PS4 but I've only played an hour or so of it. After this I'm planning to play that too.

This game was really beautiful to look at and it's art style is just fantastic. Technically this was also really good game as I only had a few instances were the framerate dropped for few seconds or so.

Gameplaywise DOS 2 offers so much. All the different classes, origins and skills offer multiple ways to finish the encounters and quests. The game is pretty close of being a perfect RPG.

Only negatives were the journal/quest log (took some time to get used to) and saving. I did lose some hours because I forgot to manually save and there weren't a autosave point and then after dying I would notice that the last save was pretty long ago. The journal was pretty confusing at first when some quest closed and some would stay opened even if they had been finished. I really didn't want to miss anything so I had to google if the quest line ended there or if it was going to continue later on. Luckily this only spoiled some minor things but nothing significant.

FIFA 18 - PlayStation 4
The gameplay is good, Dice's Frostbite engine has made the game visually better too. I skipped the game last year and there are improvements but nothing really groundbreaking. The Journey game mode is really great (watched the beginning on Youtube from Fifa 17) and refreshing experience overall.

This game was my return to PC gaming after 13-14 years. Saw some videos of this game and spoke with friend about it. Then I had to get it. The game is basically Battle Royale of 100 players/ duos/ 4 man teams in a Eastern Bloc/russian island.
You can choose where you drop out of a plane and got a few minutes to collect equipment and weapons. Then the map starts forcing everyone to a safe zone. The area the gets smaller and smaller until one player wins the game. You can play the game in 3rd person or as an FPS game.
It's quite nerve wrecking to run around collecting stuff and then surviving to the top 10 when you crawl around in a small field with the other 10 players and trying to spot them before they see you.
Just getting the best equipment doesn't get you anywhere near the top and you really need to get lucky too and move wisely around the brushes. In my only win I moved to a small cabin with okay guns but with no scopes / sights and then the map just kept closing on to it. And I managed to kill a other player and got a sight to my gun and then I basically waited every other player to kill each other before rushing in to the last guy's hiding spot.
Usually the playtime is short because someone gets lucky and gets an assault rifle while you find a frying pan. But the match making is really good and since this is one of the most popular games at the moment the servers fill up really fast. The game is still in early access state but there haven't been any big problems for me atleast. The best way to play this game is with friend or two forming a duo/team.

One night in. The atmosphere and setting are so good, traveling to Hel and learning more on norse lore on the way is just great. The combat is great and the visuals and sound design are creepy and fantastic. Soundtrack has some great norse folk singing in it. I had hard time stopping as the story got more interesting. Already on my top 3 this year. * Finished it and the game was great. It just got better, weirder and darker as the story progressed. The game would have gotten a perfect score from me if there were a few less rune puzzles and invisible walls. I would say this is a must buy and you should play it with headphones on.

I'm having a trouble starting this... When this Ps4 version came out I played it for a few hours and stopped. Now I continued it for a evening (8 months later ?)but but besides the music there isn't anything captivating about the game yet. Which is weird since I usually like rpg's and Fallout 4 I played really much when it was released. I'll give this a change after I replay The Last of Us .

*Got in to the game better and it's been fun experience. The FPS combat with swords and axes isn't that interesting to me so I've been using magic skills more. The quests aren't that varied and there's a lot of tombs that look pretty much the same. The lore and the world are pretty interesting overall thought. The remastering is pretty good and there are places/moments where the game is pretty (also places where there are visual clitches etc. and just ugly textures), the character models are still pretty ugly. The game has been working technically (only 1 hard crash). ** Finally, finished the game ( some sidemissions left) and man did the gameplay experience change a lot. Framerate drops and about 15-20 hard crashes. I started to get bored of the game and would have propably stopped if I wasn't that many hours in. There where moments and questlines that were fun and gave bit of a boost... but most of the game was really boring go kill someone/get something-and return to talk to me- missions. Also most of the environments are too similar looking and the game really feels like you playing the same thing over and over.

The Last of Us - Remastered - PlayStation 4
Waited for a few years to play this again. This time I played it on the Survivor difficulty. Not being able to use the listening skill was great since it really makes the game way too easy. Also the enemies were doing more damage to you and I died at some parts quite often. Overall the game has still great story and it's still really pretty.

Also I played the Left Behind-DLC through for the first time. Which was also good.

Injustice 2 - PlayStation 4
Story was great, The Multiverse gives replayability value even if you don't play the games online multiplayer (I tried but there were too many spammers to making it not that fun). Gameplay is good and challenging against the computer on higher difficulty levels. The score is great one too. Biggest flaw to me is the supermoves/specials that have only one animation and they can get dull after seeing them so many times (I had the same problem with all the newer Mortal Kombat's and the first Injustice )

XCOM 2 - PlayStation 4
This game is challenging even in the easiest difficulty level. Well I made it more difficult for myself in the first playthrough (even though I'm not yet quite finished) by not exploring the Avenger upgrades. I like the way you start from the bottom as the aliens have ruled the world for 20 years now. You start to guerrilla warfare against the aliens and recruiting soldiers, scientists and engineers helping you on your efforts. I really like the way you can customize you soldiers and it affects you when you favorite soldier gets killed because you make a tactical mistake in a fight. Also the base/Avenger building is great and useful as it helps on the war efforts. The only technical issues have been visual clitches and frame rate drops that happen when the game is loading or there is a big explosion on screen. Also the loading times are really long. **Well, the technical problems waited for the final fight: had one hard crash and multiple times the animations froze for quite many seconds. Also the frame rate problems got quite bad in the last chamber.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - PlayStation 4
I got enough hours in this for first impressions... and man does this game feel outdated. The graphics in the dialogue scenes that you look really much in the Mass Effect games look in this like they are from PS3 era. Then when you travel around in the different environments there are moments where the game looks really beautiful. The combat gameplay is really good. Driving the rover is quite annoying and it feels like they have added the slowdown/tire grip loss so that traveling takes longer between places. The crew has some intersting characters in it (hopefully they get better after more playing hours) but nothing compared to the Normandy crews (ME 1-3).

** Well, I finished the game, and the biggest problem was the state that the game was in when it was released. There was so much freezing, really awful frame rates, glitches and I had about 10 hard crashes during the first playthrough (first one was during the character creation so it soured the experience right from the start). The first patch improved the visual side of the game but it also made the frame dropping a bigger issue than it was before. One thing that I've heard from the developement is that that Bioware's upper management decided to make the facial animations and human models a lower priority and outsourced those to a smaller EA studio in Romania. That seems so stupid to me since you spend so much time in the conversations and the the eye definitely focuses on the faces during those. Also the dialogue/lipsync/-algorhitms lead to some really unintentionally funny moments. Last one of those was in the final scene of the Movie Night sidemission when during the emotional ending to the questline one of the character's eyes started rolling around really wildly... Well I got some laughs out of that. I also hate it when the dialogue gets skipped in mid sentence because you accidentally cross some invisible line that triggers some other dialogue that ten starts going.

I wasn't a big fan of the quest lines that took place in multiple planets because you had to watch the same landing/loading screens so many times so you could go and pick up some item/talk to someone and then repeat the same on a different planet. This started to bother me especially at the latter part of the game when I had already done most of the quests. I just stopped doing the task-missions alltogether and just finished the story.

The Nomad-driving got better after I upgraded it but still the vehicle feels really underpowered and it looses grip really easily even with the upgrades so you have to use the slower six-wheel drive. The game has big flaw since everything is supposed to be new and foreign. You are the Pathfinder yet everywhere you go there are already tons of people there. And most of them are from the Milky Way so it really doesn't have the feeling of exploring new planets and looking for a new home. Also the Kett are basically Collectors and they have similar goals to the Reapers and they basically make husks out of the people they take. So everything feels really similar to the original trilogy except the new race of aliens and the Remnant robots. There are quite much problems with the game but still it is a Mass Effect game and I found it pretty good at that. The crew and story got better and the loyalty missions were really good and had some humor in them.

The main story is quite short and most of the time is spent on sidequests and "exploring". The main story line got better and the final mission was good times. The gameplay/combat is the best of the series. The soundtrack is great one too and so are the weapon sounds.

Overall the game was dissappointment to me but it still has good parts in it that manages to overcome the big flaws and tecnical problems. Some of the dissappointment offcourse came from the hype I had built for the game during this long waiting period. Also it didn't help the game that I started this right after finishing Horizon: Zero Dawn which was so polished and fresh gaming experience.

Horizon Zero Dawn - PlayStation 4
This was a nice new IP from Guerilla Games. It's a modern third person action game and the game mechanics are nothing new or special but I didn't find that a problem since most of them are borrowed from games that I really like. Even if it borrows from other games, this felt really fresh and original every other way. The game also came out finished and properly polished and worked really well all the way through.

The game's setting and story were just so good and interesting that it hooked me in straight from the start. The Post-post-apocalypse as a setting was refreshing and the world was really colorful and varied really much when traveling to different parts. The game is set in Colorado /the Rocky Mountains and the nearby areas so there is everything from snowy mountains, desert lands to even lush jungles (the game explains this).

The world is filled with robots that are modeled after different animals. Hunting these beasts is really fun and when you accidentally run in front of a Thunderjaw (a robotic T-rex with lazer guns) too early in game you are going to die. This made the exploring really fun and even little intense. There are also some small animals running around too. I wish there would have been more different animal species but the lack of them can be explained what the story reveals later on. The main character is interesting and her backstory and the tribal life that she lives were the first thing that really caught my interest in the beginning. And after the world map opens up I was just hooked in and had to see how the world got to this stage. I got over 90 percent completion rate after finishing the first playthrough. The game has similar side stuff to Ubisoft's games but the difference here is that Guerilla Games didn't fill up the map with hundreds of collectibles and climbable objects, so the interest of collecting them all didn't fade out. Technically the game is nothing new but still this felt really fresh and the world and post-post-apocalypsian human culture etc. kept the experience really interesting all the way through.

Also the game was so great technically that I can't remember any issues. Maybe the load times could've been faster but this only became bothersome in the latter parts of the game. And only if you are using the fast traveling system as much as I did at that point when I was trying to do every side stuff before the end game I was looking the loading screens quite a much. But overall the game ran smoothly and there were no glitching or anything like that. This is kinda rare nowadays with the open-world games especially. *Also the soundtrack is really beautiful and is a mix of futuristic, tribal and (modern) orchestral sounds. Those sounds fit the game so perfectly and add so much to the gaming experience.

The Banner Saga 2 - PlayStation 4
I really liked that this game picks up the story basically where the first one left it. Technically this was superior to the first one in every way. The game ran better, I had some freezing (for some seconds) in the first one but it never crashed and loading saves would be unresponsive at times. In this one I didn't have any problems whatsoever. The art and animations were improved and there were more of them too. The sounds/voiceovers added more to the gaming experience. The soundtrack is really good again lile in the first one. I liked the new characters, classes and enemy types they adde to this. And the story gets even more interesting as you learn more, like what started the darkness that is taking over the world. The first one really changed how I chose the to approach the random encounters in this game, since being a good guy really had some awful backfires. Now I really thought every decision throught before I acted on them. I play as Rook in the lead and I really do like the character (and how the first game changed him) and the relationship he has with the rest of the heroes in my group, Iver especially. They have great back and forth dialogue. Also I liked that you got to play with totally different character with Bolverk leading the other banner caravan. I played him like a hotheaded asshole who kept his Ravens priority number one. The combat with him was also really different and the berserker class was fun to play. December 2018 is the release for the third one at least at the moment since the kickstarter has reached it's goal now.I'm really looking forward to that and I hope that the add even more of the animations and voice over like they had more in this compared to the first one.

The Banner Saga - PlayStation 4
I've been meaning to play this game for years. I bought this and the sequel some time ago and finally started to play. The art-style is beautiful. The tile and turn based combat is challenging and fun. The roleplaying and the choices/dialogue trees afflecting the game and character's lives is done simply but greatly. Choices that seem to be small at first can come back and change the game so much. Everyone you save aren't a good persons and can turn on you.I ruined my first playthrough by waiting for the mender lady too long and I lost like 300 person out of the 450 on the final march to the walled city without any food. Then a certain person turned on me and stabbed me and killed one of my favorite party members So the choices really matter and they can have dire consequenses. The game's world feels real and the fake norse-mythology is interesting. I'm just one evening in but already can say that this is one of the best finds in games for a while.
