So proud that they are German ;)
I don't know much about the band history or the members, why should I? With bands it's most of the time like this, I simply like the music regardless of its members :)
I love their hard stuff. Their texts. Tills voice. The instruments. And so on...
Ah, and I love their spanish(!) song Te quiero Puta!, the french part in Frühling in Paris... Pussy is not that good in my opinion.
I recommend the Pooh version ;] ♥

I bought the Rock Hard or some other metal magazine and listened to songs of some bands in there and so I found In Extremo. Love to see them live
Sorry, no 'real' video available :/

All I know about Evanescence is that Amy Lee is the singer and how to spell it ;)
Apart from that, I heard that Amy tends to kick band members from time to time, sounds like she's a little bitchy but I like her and her voice is awesome.
You may all know My Immortal but here's my favourtie music video;

Got to know him from my ex best friend...
His texts are very, VERY thoughtful, sometimes TOO thoughtful. Hard to explain.
He's very honest, which is good, of course, but sometimes it's hard to listen to his music because it's the brutal truth. E.g. he sings about imprisoned people and that we should feel free for them, because they can't.
In this song, he sings about his former relationship and that he's not afraid to cry about it...

Brian Warner (/Mr. Manson) grew up in Ohio, got kind of traumatised by his grandfather because of his porno-cellar. Later on he got in contact with Pogo & Co, so 1989 the Band was formed, at first under the Name Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, but this was too long in the end. Every member has his sex symbol/serial killer name. Example: Marilyn Monroe + Charles Manson = Marilyn Manson.
They released more than ten cds (when adding tour and best of cds, without its 8 studio lps).
What I like about Manson is that he's thoughtful. One might not guess it, but he's very political and I like his opinions. I mean he's not 'just' a singer who wants to scare and get attention (though nowadays it appears to be this way more and more).
What impressed me was for example his comment in Michael Moores Movie 'Bowling for Columbine' when he was asked what he would have said to the amok boys. He said something like 'I wouldnt have said a single word to them. I would have listened to what they have to say. And thats was no one did.'
Sadly he appears to be an asshole since a few years (in my opinion). Seeing him live is just him portraying himself, showing that he doesn't really want to be there and gives zero f*cks about his fans.
from Eat me, Drink me
(not the best example, but the others have no videos, are not available or something)

Ärztöööööö! ♥
belafarinrod - es gibt nur einen Gott!
Die Ärzte are the most self-ironic band I know, and that's what I love about them.
They simply love their fans and their music, they enjoy their concerts just as much as the audience does.
It's no attitude like 'we are the greatest band in the world' (though that what they say about themselves ironically) like other bands may have.
Bela and Farin (and Rod?) also have solo albums and they are awesome aswell, but Farin is my favourite 'Arzt' because his texts are very touching, honest and sweet.
