Ezquerra did a shitload of work for the British weekly comics back in the 1970s and from memory he created the look of British icon Judge Dredd - So goddamn consistently good and his style just seemd to fit many genres...Scifi - The 2000Ad's adaptation of The Stainless Steel Rat, Strontium Dog --- World War 2 - Major Eazy, Rat Pack in battle comic ---- and Horror - Fiends Of The Eastern Front in 2000AD

I loved his work on Daredevil and of course the Batman Dark Knight graphic novels he created BUT the guy is just a tad crazy - too much obsession with violence and making everything look noir-ish

Really solid artist whose work has an earthy quality - Of course now famous for Watchmen but before that he was ubiquitous in the Brit comic books

I love this guys macabre drawings used greatly in Nemesis The Warlocks series and superhero satire Marshall Law. Oh and he drew The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen series

There's something a bit otherworldly about his work which is both detailled and abstarct at the same time - absolutely great work on Judge Dredd

3 things I recall about Byrnes work
1 - he liked total creative control so it was not unusual to see everything creidtted to him
2 - he dominated 1980s Marvel comics with stints on X Men and The Fantastic Four
3 - the characters looked the same as there wasnt much facial variation...still a great artist though

Kirby is almost God-like in the comic book industry
He worked like a donkey churning out hundreds of titles but i an interview I recently saw he came across as a decent guy
I just loved the power he gave stories - sometimes you could almost feel the punches the characters threw

An Italian artist who worked for British comics...though he did cover different genres imho he excelled at surreal scifi/fantasy which peaked in the 2000AD series Ace Trucking
