Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Another one of my all-time favorite albums, definitely in my top 5. This was such a groundbreaking and revolutionary sound, there was just nothing else quite like it. There's just a raw and angry energy that just gets my blood pumping and my mind thinking, such an intense and epic album!

Broken - Nine Inch Nails
Broken is such an angry, dark and visceral EP and in my opinion is the essence of hard industrial rock. I believe this is Trent's best work, it's just pure intense energy.

Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell - Social Distortion
As I've said many times in my life Social Distortion is one of the most underrated bands of all-time.

Kerplunk - Green Day
Listening to Kerplunk always puts me in such a good mood. All the songs are just so catchy and full of energy. I think this is Green Day's most underappreciated album.

Incesticide - Nirvana
A rarities compilation Incesticide certainly isn't Nirvana's best but it still has a charm about it. This feels more like a punk album and Nirvana just seems like their having some good fun here.

Bill - Tripping Daisy
Tripping Daisy didn't make it onto my radar until 1995 when they released I Am an Elastic Firecracker. I really dug their sound so I sought out anything else of theirs I could find. I finally found the album Bill at a used CD store and I'm glad I found it. It's a fun album that always makes me smile when I hear it.

Check Your Head - Beastie Boys
I believe the Beastie Boys are the best hip-hop has to offer, band or solo artist. Now before anybody gets upset by that statement just know I'm not very fond of hip-hop. Beastie Boys are one of the few I like in the genre. As for Check Your Head its not as good as Licensed to Ill or Ill Communication but still a very solid album.

Bricks Are Heavy - L7, Donita Sparks, Jennifer Finch
I wasn't much a fan of L7 until I heard Pretend We're Dead on the radio. Next day went and got the album and to my surprise the whole thing was pretty damn good.

Initially I was going to do a list of my favorite albums from the entire 90s, but that list was just way too long. So I decided to go year by year through the 90s to make it easier to browse.
I grew up in the 90s and was a teenager most of the decade (93-99), so for me the music of the 90s is my favorite from any decade. These songs were the soundtrack of my teen years and helped me through some really tough times.
If you feel I left out any awesome music let me know or if you think my choices suck post a comment. As you can tell when you look at my list I prefer rock music mostly and there's a few pop songs I like as well.
