Christmas Boogie (with the Chipmunks)
This is AMAZING. It blows my mind. The Chipmunks are doing their annoying Christmas song, then Canned Heat comes in and shuts them down with some rock and roll. Eventually the Heat infects them with a Christmas Boogie.

Crustified Christmas (feat. Mac Lethal)
I know R.A. The Rugged Man mostly from his amazing verse on Jedi Mind Tricks' "Uncommon Valor." His Christmas song reminded me that I need to find more from this incredible rapper. Rivals "Christmas in Hollis" for me.
R.A. even takes a couple of lines to school us on the history of St. Nick:

Santa Claus is based on a Catholic Bishop, St. Nicholas
Years before he was at the North pole chillin'
He was rumored to resurrect the bodies of mutilated children.

Christmas Duel by The Hives and Cyndi Lauper
Wow, I'm in love with this song. It's like a rock version of "Fairytale of New York." The lyrics aren't as well-crafted but, it makes up for it in energy and intensity. Easily on the list.

Christmas in Carrick
In a strange way my entire musical taste can be traced back to the Irish folk group The Clancy Brothers. It was through them I got curious about Bob Dylan and through them I accidentally found The Pogues. That got me away from my adolescent enjoyment of Limp Bizkit and KoRn.
So, I owe a great debt to the brothers. They also have a very nice Christmas album.

Monster's Holiday
I can't explain why I find the Monster Mash so funny, but I do. Maybe it's because it's so stupid, maybe it's just the concept of monster parties, maybe it's Bobby "Boris" Pickett's commitment. I love it.
And there's a Christmas version and it kills me.

Joey Had a Smoke
No one gives poor ol' Joseph much mind. He's in a pretty weird situation. His lady is pregnant, she's saying the father is God...Even if you saw angels it'd be a rough thing to deal with.
That's why I like this very well written song. It's sort of a modernized telling of a few things from Joseph's perspective. It's a shame the first part is whispered, because the way it handles the three wise men is nice.

I don't know why this songs makes me laugh so hard, but it does. It gets stuck in my head so badly. I love that the first half has nothing to do with Christmas.
