Actresses Ready for the Spotlight

She does the drama thing in Mad Men and the comedy thing in Community, knocking it out of the park with every at-bat.

She's had supporting roles and guest spots on the best TV shows to grace the screen, including Arrested Development, Californication, and Archer.

Granted, she's had leading roles, but she deserves the spotlight as someone other than the romantic interest for the male lead (Dark Knight, Crazy Heart, etc.).

Delightful in every scene from office (Mad Men) to outer space (Firefly). She needs a starring turn!

So funny and so disarming, so maybe she deserves a role that doesn't require removing her shirt.

Usually a friend of the protagonist, she really needs a role that gives her center stage.

Already a talented voice actress (Bob's Burgers, small roles in The Simpsons, American Dad), it's time for all of her to get some face time on celluloid.

She turned down a role in Clerks II because she feared she might be typecast in "girlfriend" roles. That she never did get that starring turn in a film is an injustice to all who appreciate good potty humor.

Her English lilt enchants as does her stunning performances on big (Rushmore) and small (Dollhouse) screens.

Still an up-and-comer, she's set an enviable bar with her co-starring performance in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
