Shakespeare’s Macbeth retold in a Japanese setting with Samurai and Toshiro Mifune as the lead :D and it is directed by Akira Kurosawa!!!
Well I am f**king sold :D
Fantastic piece of cinema in terms of atmosphere and acting really a great example of taking a classic piece of literature and making it your own without being unfaithful to the source that it came from.
Plus, in case you did not pick up on it I am a bit of a sucker for Mifune and Kurosawa flicks so I might be a bit biased XD but probably not this film is amazing I am dead serious o-o

A philosophical dark retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood Fable?
Animated?
Set in Japan?
Bittersweet?
Whelp I am sold on this one :D and you should be too!
IT is a slow burn though so if that kind of movie pace is not your thing then beware!

I always love it when I find a film that just drips of the 90’s.
You might recognize several stars who were just getting their feet wet in terms of acting.
Plus, all the chicks are hot XD I am sorry if that sounds shallow but it is true damn it! Especially Liv Tyler I mean mother of God has she got it goin’ on!!! It is so weird I am a sucker for the 80’s ascetic and lifestyle but something about chicks from the 90’s mand they just have that magic you just cannot touch . . . . er em ... right back to my thoughts . . .
Anyway this film has several laughs, great soundtrack, and a pretty well rounded cast that makes for a fun ride check it out :D

So freakin’ awesome!
Great cast of characters! Fantastic Ear-gasmic soundtrack! Great special effects! More of a personal tale with character development galore! So many laughs! Also, some tears!!! Man this movie has it all :D in fact why aren’t I watching it now?
Anyway where the first Guardians film was more of an establishing film along with a MCU building film Vol. 2 of the Guardians is a different beast in a sense that what happens in this film is more for the Guardians and less for the MCU is that makes sense.
But, seriously everyone gets some more character development and progression in this film as each has to face down new and old demons alike in this intergalactic adventure and it was one hell of a ride that I would definitely ride again :D

This movie is . . . . . pretty 80’s XD
And that is coming from someone who is a huge fan and like I said sucker for the 80’s so take of that what you will.
But, seriously from the colors, to the designs, to the voice acting, and other such things you can tell this was that era of 80’s anime that might not withstand the test of time XD but I kinda liked it because it had enough to keep me entertained in that Saturday morning cartoon kind of feeling but with a bit of an edge to it because there are some metal moments in this flick so I have to give credit where it is due.
So yeah might tune into this one again and for everyone else I would say at least give it one watch :)

Funny thing about the month of May.
Emotions ride high during this time and what results resonate in the land of films during this time . . . . . . .
Who knows!?!
All I know is that one way or another the piper must be paid; and his toll is to be paid in films of all kinds :D oh boy now that is the kind of bill I look forward to paying I better get watching films right away ^-^
