Not bad BUT UGLY butt ugly! Tvtropes really hits all the main points. Units can also be customized to a great degree. Did i mention it was really ugly? I didn't play it too much BECAUSE IT WAS REALLY UGLY but there is enough strategic and tactical depth that aside from needing better explanations for beginners I enjoyed it.

Despite being labeled with the "MMORTS" genre, Shattered Galaxy is actually more Real Time Tactics, in that you don't have a base: you don't need to Construct Additional Pylons or manage your Command And Conquer Economy. Instead, all you have is a Digital Avatar and 20 points to use in your Point Build System, which mostly determines which soldiers you can control and how well you equip them. You can take small squads of soldiers (6 to 12) into battle and fight the other side, but blindly exterminating the enemy is not the only way to win, nor the most important one. Embedded into every map are several discs of Applied Phlebotinum called "Points of Contention", or PoCs. If your side captures enough of them, you win. As such, most gameplay and unit design revolves around capturing or defending PoCs, and it is much more possible to Leeroy Jenkins in this game than it is in most RTS titles.

Shattered Galaxy is a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) that was released in 2001 by Nexon Inc., now known as KRU Interactive, after an extensive open beta period. It was published by TriSynergy in the USA. It combines the attributes of a massive multiplayer online role-playing game and a real-time strategy game. Though it had previously won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the 2001 Independent Games Festival, hosted through the Game Developers Conference, the game floundered when it was released to retail. The game was published under the name Tactical Commanders in South Korea, published by Nexon until December 31, 2005. This game has also been serviced in Japan, Taiwan, and Germany.
