Awesome game!

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 13 July 2022 02:42

Warning: Spoilers
As soon as I started playing, I liked it. The game starts out slow and you'll get lost at first but I pushed on and was glad to. Once you get to go to cities you have fun. I was a little confused with the games concept though. You play a man named Desmond in the present who is an assassin captured by a corporation who needs to use his memories t track his ancestor to find something.(Saying what would be a spoiler.) They put you in a machine called an Animus and then your Altair, a assassin who apparently invented free running. The controls are simply and you'll love hopping all over ancient cities, killing archers as you go. You'll have to do a lot of work before you get to kill your target. But it's satisfying once you get to kill. In the end you'll get to kill all nine targets assigned. I read that the ending was a total let down and left *too much* room for a sequel. Garbage. Your quest with Altair has a satisfying ending. The complete end is with Desmond though, and it's a neat one. After the credits, you'll get to explore the laboratory and learn as much as you can before you call it quits. Despite how it sounds, I've revealed nothing to ruin the ending. Buy it and enjoy it. I did. Takes a looooooooooong time though.

Assassin's Creed review

Bastante aburrido, repetitivo y PLAGADO de bugs. Al ser el primero de la saga introduce un concepto bastante interesante al interesar al espectador en historia universal, pero la ejecución de esta propuesta aun estaba muy verde en la primera entrega.

"Assassin's Creed" (PS3)

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I could never really get into the story of this game until maybe the final climax; I was far more concerned with the gameplay – which follows a pretty standard format that you can get used to very quickly. Every time you go to a city, it's the same story: you have to complete two or three other missions, then you can proceed to the assassination target. Lather, rinse, repeat. Personally speaking, I generally avoided any pickpocketing missions or running around collecting flags.
One thing I can say: the graphics and art design are amazing. The cities are absolutely stunning to admire from a perch.
The one thing that constantly drove me up the wall was getting hounded by beggars left and right! I got so annoyed that I was sorely tempted to assassinate them every time one hassled me!
The big issue that I found completely ridiculous, though, can best be summed up by slightly tweaking a comment from the Angry Video Game Nerd's Simon's Quest video: why do you have to die when you fall in the water? That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen! This guy can go all over, breezing through assassination targets left and right, taking on fifteen soldiers at once… but he can't even fucking swim?!
To sum it up, I enjoyed this game. A little repetitive, but it's still a fun formula – and I'm definitely looking forward to playing the sequels. :)

My rating: 75%

Ambitious and immersive, yet flawed.

Assassin's Creed is an enriching, immersive and satisfying game in regards to its atmosphere and gameplay, save a few glitches and flaws. Yet, its conventional and simplistic ending virtually strips the game of the philosophical credibility that it had attempted to establish beforehand. In addition, the many goals in this game grow incredibly repetitious as the player progresses through the game's narrative.

Regardless of this, Assassin's Creed perfects its open-world atmosphere through its detailed and complex depiction of the crusades. In addition, it poses many fascinating philosophical and moral questions that resist easy answers, even if Altair's strong, and arguably simplistic, adherence to the creed does undermine the player's ability to challenge themselves on an intellectual level. It's the moral absolutism of Altair that the game attempts to eschew.

Occasionally, some of the dialogue is stilted and the delivery isn't quite credible as one would hope, yet its ambition and scope seem to transcend its flaws. Assassin's Creed isn't an infallible game by any means, but it certainly isn't a mediocre cash cow.

beautiful to look at - beautiful to play - challanging for so long - then unfortunately (believe it or not) gets a little repetative - but woo - well worth a few hours attention.

I know the Creed... now what?

The Crusade's, parkour, stealth, and assassinations all sound great and Assassin's Creed promised all of those things and that sounded great but after playing the game it fell a little short.

You play Desmond Miles, a man from 2012 AD, who is kidnapped and forced to entered a machine called the Animus that searches a persons DNA and extract memories from the users ancestors. Well one of Desmond's ancestors turns out to be a member of the Assassins Order during the Third Crusade named Altaïr.
Altaïr is tasked to help stop the Crusade by killing 9 leaders on both sides of the war. As he continues to kill the men, Altaïr finds out why he was sent to kill them and also why Desmond was kidnapped.

In order to assassinate the leaders, Altaïr must gather information by pickpocketing, beating a confession, eavesdropping, or helping a Order informer on the target that is in a sector and then get approval from the Order leader in the city with the information.
Also he can do a couple side missions by saving citizens that go can help getting into a place with scholars or having vigilantes that while hold on to guards as Altaïr gets away.
All of this is the real problem with the game as getting the information is all the same in every level of the game and gets really boring fast.

Visually the game looks great even on a standard def TV and I bet looks better on a HDTV.
Controls are tight most of the time and only feel loose when fighting but not so loose to be killed too many times.
But another fault is that story is weak as its pretty confusing and a bit convoluted.

Overall the game is a good game and worth borrowing to play but its seems like the game needed a little more work in some areas that could have make it a great game.
