A good movie

Posted : 7 years, 11 months ago on 6 April 2016 03:33

I remember very well when this movie was released. Indeed, I’m pretty sure I actually saw it in the movie theater but, otherwise, I saw it very soon after. Anyway, while watching the damned thing, I was pretty sure I was witnessing the birth of a new Star. Indeed, Reese Witherspoon, who was just about 20 years old at the time, was just so charismatic and so talented here, I was pretty sure that she would have an impressive career. Eventually, she would keep making some smart choices and, within a few years, she managed to reach the A list and she hasn’t lost her spot ever since. Coming back to our main feature, even though Witherspoon was quite amazing, I’m not sure I really cared about the story though. I mean,  it was basically some kind of dark thriller with some twist around the Red Riding Hood tale and while it was fairly entertaining, I’ll give you that, it was not much more than that. To conclude, even though I don’t think it is really a masterpiece, it still is a fine thriller and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre or if you want to see when Reese Witherspoon’s career finally took off.

Olive Oil review

Homer called olive oil "liquid gold".
It has been a symbol; used in religious rituals; medicines; as fuel for oil lamps; soap making and skin applications, and last but not least as food.
It's beneficial contributions to civilization and the culinary arts is undeniable.

Pokémon Snap review

Posted : 10 years, 9 months ago on 5 June 2013 02:19

Pokemon Snap came out while the franchise was still in its infancy. This will be the game for you if you can't decide which starter to pick in Red or Blue in case you hated Bulbasaur (which I don't), or if having Pikachu as a starter in Yellow is a lame idea.

Okay, this may be a game starring a one-shot anime character who appeared for 3 episodes of the original series, but it's still fun. You get to take pictures of Pokemon, naturally. But if you want high scores, you'll have to lure them with apples, distract them with Pester Balls, or get their attention with the Poke Flute (Pikachu express their feelings in an unusual way in that case).

In my opinion, it would have to be Gen. I's best game.

My rating: 8/10
