The best of Raw on 4 discs

Posted : 16 years, 1 month ago on 1 March 2008 10:10

Raw 15th finally came to the UK thanks to Silver Vision the DVD was released on February 28th. Raw 15th Anniversary is a good DVD has some great footage of classic moments though some i feel were not needed on the DVD. The DVD features pop ups on segments and matches telling you information people on amazon found it annoying i never found a problem with this at all i liked them on there.

This has classic moments such as Stone Cold Steve Austin invading Brian Pillman's home, DX invading WCW, Stone Cold meets Mike Tyson, Mick Foley and Al Snow go to Las Vegas, Rock this is your life etc.

Then there is other moments which are not needed such as Cena been drafted to Raw, Goldust kissing Ahmed Johnson, Chris Jericho been fired.

The amount of content been cut from Raw the year of 2001 only shows 2 moments from that year. The year of 2000 only showing 1 moment. The disc of 2003 - 2008 really seems rushed and some classic Raw matches have not been added.

This match should of been added Rob Van Dan vs Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match it was not added Eddie Guerrero non of him appears on this DVD which he did have some good matches on Raw. Another great match that should of been added Rob Van Dam vs Christian in a ladder match which was fantastic but both matches are featured on Rob Van Dam's DVD anyway. Jeff Hardy vs Undertaker in a ladder match should of been featured as this in my mind was one of Raw's classics.

The DVD insert also shows you a moment with Triple H and Hornswoggle but this does not even appear on the DVD at all. If you ask me the Raw 15th show should of been released with this package.

Classic moments like Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon in the church was cut out of the DVD. Kane and Undertaker throwing the steel steps on Vince McMahon's leg which was funny is cut out which is a shame.

The DVD trys to add more value with giving you the Full show of the 1st ever Monday Night Raw which features interviews with wrestlers such as Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Edge, Jim Ross. I never found the show all that great the matches i found pretty boring but Bobby Heenan will make you laugh with some good segments trying to get into the arena.

If you still have the Best of Raw DVD vol 1 & 2 that has a whole lot more detail of 1997 - 1999 i recommend buying the DVD if you can find it because it is hard to get that DVD now.

So to wrap this up this DVD is entertaining and has some funny moments even though Todd Grisham more get on your nerves presenting this show. I don't know why not get Michael Coal or even Jonathan Coachman to present the DVD they are were better. The DVD show of went more in depth though most is down to lazy editing with cutting the F out of the WWF logo and due to some of Chris Benoit which is one of the reasons why more footage is out the DVD, one of which Triple H injuring his leg would of been on the disc i would of thought but down to Chris Benoit it never made it to the disc which p**ed me off because that match was good. The radicals team coming to WWE i would of loved to have seen again but thanks to Chris Benoit going crazy it's not even on these disc's

This DVD is worth buying for any serious WWE collector.
