A journalist at the Herald, Blake Washburn(Lynn), takes on big business as an enemy of the people, blaming corporations for his political defeat. When tragey strikes, Washburn must re-examine his views.

Bette Davis in Of Human Bondage(1934, 83 minutes). Also starring Leslie Howard. Waitress Mildred Rogers(Davis) enter into a destructive relationshiop with club-footed Philip Carey(Howard). After a series of emotional disasters, Carey attends medical school and turns his life around. Mildred Rogers is not wuite as lucky.
