A young and powerful werewolf named Tristyn Wellington is chosen to kill and transform the young woman back into a werewolf. He falls in love with the girl, but soon has to give her up. Taking her to Fort Fenris in northern Britain he relinquishes his hold over her and transfers it over to Julius, the Patriarch of the werewolves. Unable to escape because of this invisible leash, she is still kept captive as the Elders try to learn more of the prophecy. Unnaturally powerful, she soon breaks free and escapes back home to her parents and best friend. Things become complicated for her, as she is never to return back to normal.
