1st show I ever went to. He played a state fair when I lived in Illinois (late 80s), & my parents took me. They got me into his music.

Starting with my love affair with Metal in the latter half of the 80s, once I heard Metallica ('87) they were my favorite band. That changed once I heard the Black Album, as well as started getting into the alternative wave that started in 1991, but I went ahead & saw them anyway in summer of '94, which was my 2nd show ever. Missed the openers, but I enjoyed their set. Glad I went too since after that I REALLY quit caring about them.

Seen many many times, but my 1st was when they opened for NIN in October of '94. They used to be amazing live, but the older Manson gets the further downhill they slide.

Their show in October of '94 remains my all-time top show ever. Followed closely by their Dallas performance in 2006 with QOTSA and DFA79. Hands down the best live band I've ever seen.

Had no urge to see him, but watched him anyway since he played a local festival and I had nothing better to do. He was OK. Highlight was when he played "physical (you're so)" which he co-wrote with Trent Reznor.

Had the good fortune to see them headline their 1st club tour (with the amazing & underrated/forgotten Die Cheerleader, who should also be on this list). Saw them again when they opened for White Zombie in late '95. Then once more when they toured behind their 2nd album, after which I quit paying attention to them.

Opener on the Bowie/NIN tour in '95. The whole set sounded like feeble attempts to imitate NIN. Hated them.

Amazing, especially the part where he came onstage to do a few songs with NIN. Then NIN left the stage & Bowie carried on with his set.

Dallas band that should have been huge but never made it. The first time I saw them I wasn't much into them, but I saw them again about a month later & fell in love with them permanently. Managed to see them 7 times I think before they broke up.

The first time I saw these guys they walked on stage dressed all in white, the guitarist rips into this sick riff, and the lead singer yells "You're gonna die!" before the rest of the band kicked in. Soon I found myself in a moshpit so intense I had to leave a few songs into their set.

Baboon remained amazing up until they started focusing on "maturing" their sound...I never dug it, & soon their live shows weren't insane anymore either & I quit caring about them.

1st time I saw them (as openers for Bad Religion in '96) I liked them. Then I forgot about them until the radio started playing them in the early '00s, saw them once more & hated them.

Another NIN clone, but for the most part they put on solid shows. They did, however, suck when they opened for Depeche Mode and when I saw them after their last album came out.

The 1st time I saw them still rates in my top 10. The 2nd time I saw them they were off...Zach couldn't keep up with the band for some reason. Then I didn't get to see them again until they reunited at Coachella, & that show was amazing enough that I forgave them for that 2nd show.

Took me longer than I liked to see them live for the 1st time, but after that I rarely missed them again. Since they've reunited I've only seen them a couple of times. Consistently good live, I just feel like I've seen them plenty.

One of my favorite Dallas bands, and the only band that's ever let me join them on stage on a regular basis to sing one of their songs with them. I was heartbroken in 1998 when they broke up.

Saw them more times than I'd like to admit. They were fun at first, but once they started taking themselves seriously I stopped enjoying them. If you have no idea who they are/were, you're better off.
