Arguably one of the most greatest martial art movies of all-time. "Enter the Dragon" may not have all of the wire work as others on this list, but it definitely is worth noting. It made people realize that Bruce Lee was from another planet.

"Fearless" was supposed to be Jet Li's final film. If it turned out that way... Damn would he have ever ended on a bang! The true story of a Chinese martial artist (Jet Li) who would unite his country. The story is a more than welcome addition to the action. Usually when stories in action movies are about the equivalent of having them in porn.

This movie was not promoted not nearly well as it should have been. "The Matrix" killed it inadvertently simply put. Critics loved it and self proclaimed "movie critics" instantly dismissed it assumed it was trying to ride the wave with Neo. Man were they ever wrong. Kurt Wimmer does a fantastic job in nearly every aspect of this movie. Guns being used in a mathematical, strategic, and not to mention cool way just gave "Equilibrium" it's own personality. I was severely disappointed though in "Ultraviolet". He let me down.

Yes there is a love story in this movie. Yes the it is possible to have a love story in an action movie. Yes there is some slight skin from Zhang Ziyi. Yes this movie does kick ass.

Blade (New Line Platinum Series)

Everyone assumed that it was "Spiderman" that started the superhero craze, but informed movie buffs knew which movie gave Hollywood the OK to do comic book movies again. "Blade" was the initial jolt to prove that they (comic book movies) were at least somewhat profitable. And that movies ladies and gentlemen was "Blade". Wesley Snipes stars as Blade and does a fantastic job. (Fact: LL Cool J was considered for this role. Ugh! Could you imagine him licking his lips while fighting vampires. *shudders*)But it was Stephen Droff who practically stole every scene that he was in therefore making great villain/good guy conflict. Oh, and the action is phenomenal.

Tarentino has successfully created a hybrid of spaghetti westerns, over the top action movies, and Asian culture (mainly Japanese). The man truly shows why he has received the acclaim that he deserves.

Blade II (New Line Platinum Series)

This one has Blade teaming up with the vampires to defeat a new kind of mutated vampire. Nomad is the carrier so therefore more powerful than the rest. The final fight sequence is one of the few times where you will witness a good guy proceed to get his ass whipped till the very end of the fight. Yes you read correctly Blade gets his ass handed to him. Go and watch it now. It's probably playing on TNT as you read this.

Kung Fu Hustle (Widescreen Edition)

Slapstick comedy Kung Fu!? I know usually they usually cannot coexist, but it is pulled off well. Definitely worth a viewing.

The Boondock Saints

The most notable and successful (DVD sales were through the roof!) "indie" (I mean that in the loosest way possible) film in the past decade. The unfortunate events that occurred at Columbine High School caused this movie to receive almost no attention whatsoever. Great flick if you are a fan of squibs flying all over the place.
