Review of Donkey Punch

An average movie

Beforehand, I really didn't know what to expect from this flick but since the premise was intriguing, I was rather curious by the whole thing. Honestly, The build up was not bad at all until the expected moment which was rather underwhelming. I mean, do you really believe that someone could die like this?!? I mean, if they picked up a huge guy maybe then but no, they picked up the smallest one of the bunch... After that, the movie goes rather over the top and I kind of lost interest. Plus, the actors were not really good either. On the positive side, as said before, the build up is not bad and it is rather well done actually. If you don't expect much before watching this, you may end up enjoying it more than I did.

good review - i saw this last night enjoyed it but it slipped into cliche too much - the slut dies, the virgin lives and the last 20 minutes are too OTT (the flare gun death and outboard motor killing in particular)and almost laughable - this would make an excellent double feature as a lead-in to A Serbian Film which handles sex and violence far far better...strangely the "machete" scene in ASF mirrors the Donkey Punch scene in this one
