Review of Rounds

Doing the rounds.

Easily one of the most complete electronica albums around. There isn't a low point on the whole album, it's spectacular from start to finish. Four Tet and his songs are well and truly ingrained in my brain thanks to the sheer number of times I've listened to Rounds. I remember willing him to release another album when I first heard this one, but when he did I was disappointed with it. It wasn't anything near as good as this.

Beautiful melodies and relaxing ensembles make up 45 minutes of pure listening pleasure from the master turntablist. Definite highlights include 'Unspoken' and 'My Angel Rocks back and forth'. Spawned a whole universe of remixes and b-sides that are also well worth hunting down on his Remixes album.
