I remember, back then when it was released, there was a huge buzz about this flick. Eventually, pretty much like 'Sucker Punch' also directed by Zach Snyder, it was rather a disappointment at the box-office. I guess, it is above all to do with the fact that it deals with some rather osbcure super-heroes compared to the usual Superman, Batman or Spider-man. Anyway, I thought it was a damned fine feature, one of the best of its genre actually. What a trip! It must be the darkest super-hero movie ever made, alongside 'The Dark Knight', of course. Honestly, it took me a while to get into the story but it was absolutely worth it. The more I got to know about the characters and their inner struggle, the more I felt captivated by the whole story. Furthermore, I tought it was a really gorgeous movie. I kept thinking "it must be an awesome comic-book!" and now, I'm really curious about the book itself. Anyway, even though I'm not surprised it actually tanked, I thought it was really good and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
