 An early 80’s Friday the 13th ripoff. It is a bizarre movie on several fronts. It was written and produced by Harvey Weinstein, his first foray into films as Miramax. And a weird cast. A very young, and thick-haired Jason Alexander, who even back then is doing an early George Costanza, Fisher Stevens, the man who improbably landed Michelle Pfeiffer, and brief appearances by Holly Hunter. It also has some great Tom Savini special effects, especially the sickening raft attack. Plus a horrid soundtrack by ex-Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman (!).
