Review

Sonic is back and this time he is accompanied by a sidekick. Thus begins the partnership between hedgehog and fox that is still going strong today. Who can forget the classic rivallry between Sega's iconic Sonic and Nintendo's fat plumber?

The changes between this game and its predecessor are nominal. The 'plot' remains the same, you're still chasing Emeralds and Robotnik, but the levels are longer and more intricate. The only thing I didn't like about this game was the '3D' special stages. I thought they were too difficult to be honest! With the addition of Tails, a somewhat dodgy 2 player element was added to the game, and of course the spin dash which you can not play Sonic without!
