Review

A superb science fiction film that lead to one of the greatest sequels in film history. The future is a bleak place for humanity. Fighting against their own extinction a rebel leader sends his best soldier back to the past to protect his mother after their oppresive machine enemies send back a Terminator to prevent him from being born. Everyone knows the plot to the Terminator, it's pretty much a staple of anyones DVD collection!

This film made me fall in love with Michael Biehn, the super soldier who goes toe-to-toe with a ruthlessly efficient killing machine. Packed with action sequences and memorable lines, this film is a modern classic. It does look rather dated in terms of special effects, but that's easily overlooked and doesn't ruin your enjoyment of the film.
