This film is fantastic entertainment. It was the first time I realised what a fantastic actor Jim Carrey is underneath all the non-stop clowning. The plot to me is entirely feasible. As humanity becomes more obsessed with celebrity and reality tv show culture, I can't think why this would not happen in the not-so-distant future. The Truman Show follows Truman Burbank - his entire life since birth has been scripted and filmed inside a colossal film studio that encompasses his every need. Obviously Truman does not know this until eventually, seeds of doubt are planted into his own mind thanks to hilarious mistakes from the cast and crew as well as his own unscripted love for an extra that he experienced many years ago. It's also a fantastic performance from Ed Harris who portrays the impassioned director with a God complex. The whole film is a light hearted comedy affair that contains a frightening warning. The final scenes are incredible and leave you thinking about how Truman will carry on his life. One of my all time favourite films. 10/10 Comments
