I'd wanted to see Game of Death for years. I'm a big fan of Bruce Lee and I assumed that this, with his iconic yellow jumpsuit, would be his ultimate film. I was aware that he'd died before completing it, but I didn't realise how little he had actually completed.
I would guess that about 20 or so minutes of film has Bruce Lee in it, the rest is a lookalike. The problem is, you buy a Bruce Lee film to watch a complete legend in action. The Pagoda fight scenes were amazing, but not really worth the price of the film alone, considering how cheap and poorly made the rest of it is. One hilarious moment sees Bruce Lee's still face superimposed into the mirror image of his body double. Awful.
The film was completed at a later date after Lee died, and you can see the difference in film quality between the old and new footage quite remarkably. I should have just streamed the pagoda fight from youtube or something.
