Since my brother is the one who has the the magical ticket into Camelot, sometimes I have to see the movie that he likes. (He feels like it was more faithful to the comic books, even though he hasn't read the comic books. So, that's an interesting opinion.) So, even though I successfully avoided seeing some random war-in-space movie last time, and got us into "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" instead, this time I, like Martin Sheen, I guess, ended up in sci-fi instead. Instead of the new Steve Carell movie, lol. I took some solace in the fact that it was "Spiderman", and so it would, at least somewhat, be about an acrobat. And that's good-- an acrobat is almost better than a dancer, almost....
And there was something to that. After all, once upon a time, there was a guy who might have ended up as just another science geek.... But then, one day, Peter Parker got bit by a spider....
*sighs* But I guess that I just don't understand why the scientist had to end up being such a madman, and such a cold-blooded brute.... And why Harry, I mean, Peter, had to save the school, and so on.... And why couldn't the movie be more about Spiderman and Ariadne, I mean, Gwen.... (And, I can't help but find the irony-- couldn't my aunt & uncle quiet down for long enough for me to tell the world that they *are* worth something?)
What I mean is: you'd think that an acrobat could make a dancer.... But I suppose that all that Gwen is allowed to do is soccer, I mean, science....
I mean-- is not dance a marvel also?
(It could have made Peter Parker's life alot easier, if you think about it....)
And I also liked.... Well, I couldn't help but think of him as "Police Chief Swan".... Although I really just like it better when all that Police Chief Swan has to do is say-- Mexican food? But I live in Washington State.
Basically-- I blame the scientists. And everyone who plays soccer.
I'm not sure if I've been able to balance all of my metaphor over my aunt's prattle and my brother's counter-prattle, but....
Dance is a marvel also.
Although this movie....
