To be honest, I really had no idea what to expect from this movie but since I have a weak spot for Tommy Lee Jones, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, eventually, Jones had only a rather small part and showed up only for a couple of scenes. Indeed, William Devane was actually playing the lead but he was actually pretty good. Anyway, even though this movie might seem to be another revenge thriller (it was definitely sold as one), it was actually more about PTSD and, in my opinion, it was actually one of the better movies I have seen about the subject. Indeed, they basically followed the rules of the genre but the tone was much darker and bleaker than usual. For example, while the main character was being assaulted, I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if his wife and kid would come home and I do believe that the guy was pretty much a ticking bomb looking for any excuse to kill a bunch of people. I mean, during the final scene, he and his buddy killed way more people than actually assaulted him and it seems that, for them, to be in such war-like situation was the only way to be functional. Anyway, to conclude, even though not everything completely worked, it was still a solid thriller and it is definitely worth a look.
