Even though this movie has a rather lame reputation, I always wanted to see it ever since it was released about 25 years ago. Well, basically, the whole thing turned out to be some kind of really messed-up version of Roger Rabbit running on acid. To be honest, I wonder how Ralph Bakshi managed to get the greenlight for such a weird and risky project. Unfortunately, even though the concept actually had some potential, the end-result was just really insane and barely worked. Indeed, not only the plot was really poorly set together and almost impossible to follow, to make things worse, Bakshi decided for some obscure reasons to add some random stuff constantly popping up on the screen. At least, I still think it was visually interesting but the whole thing still felt like an endless nightmare and I wonder what would happen if you would watch it after taking some drugs. The huge critical and commercial flop of this movie pretty much killed the career of cult filmmaker Ralph Bashki and you might wonder if he will ever make another full length feature ever again. Anyway, to conclude, I think I was actually really generous with my rating here, the whole thing was just so messed-up and misguided and I don't think it is really worth a look.
