Review of God of War III

God of War... Again

I don't mean to be a downer but this game was pretty disappointing. I mean, God of War 1 was pretty mind blowing at the time, 2 didn't really add much and started to fall behind what the 1st started. Up comes God of War 3 onto the next generation of console, the Ps3. I was expecting more than just updated graphics, but that's really all I got. Pretty to look at, but not much beyond that.

God of War 3 didn't add much of anything in terms of gameplay and the story is pretty lame in my opinion. I won't spoil anything but the ending absolutely sucks and was obviously rushed. The gameplay is just more of the usual button-mashing that's typical and reminiscent of a very early hack-n-slash. I mean really, God of War 1 started something great but by today's standards is inferior. If you agree with last sentence then God of War 3 is inferior compared to other hack-n-slash games today; it's still elementary like the first one in gameplay and design.
