There's something about this film that I just loved. It's a classic old school film that just hurtles through the plot quicker than anyone would dare to do in a modern film. Having the end somewhat ended by the tired old internet memes, I still enjoyed the film.

The way earth was depicted; a scorching hot hell hole with more unemployed and homeless than you could shake a stick at. It was really quite chilling seeing what people do in terms of living and sleeping arrangements, let alone what they do for food.

One thing I can't quite understand is why Charlton Heston is such a hollywood megastar. He hasn't really got the looks and his acting is strictly average... oh well, I digress. I really appreciated this film, I'd put it in the same vein as Logan's Run.

8/10

Good review. He was a mega-star because of the roles he played (Ben Hur, Planet of the Apes, etc.) Its amazing just what a blockbuster can do for an average actors future career (example: Terminator - Arnold Schwarzenegger)
