At the end of this film I was left pretty moved. It's a really powerful piece of cinema. I'd only heard a few things about this movie and didn't really know what to expect, in fact, I really just watched it to see how good the soundtrack was. At the beginning I was fairly apathetic to at least two of the main characters, but as the film went on they all really grew on me. I guess I just didn't expect their lives to change so irreversibly and drastically during the course of one year. By the end of the film each of the four main characters is just a shadow of their former self, their entire lives are pretty much shattered through naive choices and youthful mistakes. The accompanying soundtrack is fantastic and adds a whole other dimension to the feeling of sadness and unease you feel, especially whilst watching the final scenes. I wouldn't find it easy to watch this film again and I guess that is a testament to how moving and unnerving this movie is. 9/10 Comments
