rehashed american junk

This movie was great!.... when I saw it 4 years ago, as a Canadian-made film called 'The Last Casino'.

That's Hollywood for ya - no more original ideas left. They had to steal all Canadian actors, now they're stealing our movies too. And some IMDB reviews are calling it 'fresh and original'. *sigh*

As being an American and all I should talk about how great we are and how we have more guns than you, etc. But I'm not going to perpetuate the stereotype. I fully agree with your review. I look keep a look out for The Last Casino. Thanks for the brutal honesty about 21. In the novel (Bringing Down the House) based on the movie almost the whole card counting team is Asian. If noted there are only two Asians in the entire cast. Hollywood whitewashing at it's finest.

Yeah, I think I remember this. They took an interesting true story, put in a bunch of pretty young actors, made up some fake romances, and added a bunch of fictional action scenes.
