Billy (RDJ), a make up artist, is a jerk married to Honey (Taylor), a sweet woman who volunteers to house sit for neighbors and can't stand her abusive father, Earl (Waites). They hang out with Bill's best friend Jerry (Penn), a pool cleaner, who has been emasculated by his phone sex operator wife, Lois (Jason Leigh).
