I only discovered this delightful film recently. It charts the rise of Will Mossop, played by Sir John Mills, from boot hand in Henry Hobson's shop to co-owner of the business. Ably assisted by Brenda de Banzie as Maggie Hobson, the eldest daughter. A very young Prunella Scales (Sybil Fawlty) also appears as the youngest sister Vicky.
