Concert pianist, David Renaldi (Michael Zaslow), returns to Llanview with ALS. Rev. Andrew Carpenter (Wortham Krimmer) is the first to encounter him at Llanview Hospital where he is to be close to his family, particularly Cassie Carpenter (Laura Koffman), his biological daughter with Dorian Lord (Robin Strasser).
