In the late 70's a mysterious new wave/punk magician appeared on the scene in LA. His name was Nick Costello. His bizarre form of comedy magic influenced many including Nick Lewin. After blazing through the night spots of LA he quickly crashed and burned after a notorious incident in which he referred to Herman Spitt as "A jive ass'd Dutch Dude." and he quickly settled into a short lived recording career with John Riot and Nick Slow.
