Zhao Fu Lin Plum Blossom Spear

Description

Zhao Fu Lin gave this performance at a competition in China's Henan Province, in 1999, at the age of 71. The Plum Blossom Spear (mei hua qiang) derives its name from the pattern the red tassel makes as the spear is turned. Master Zhao learned mei hua qiang from Cui Jing Ming, the head of the Henan Public Security Bureau in the 1930s and 40s. He now resides in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
