George Gaynes (Commandant Eric Lassard) was about the most charming fellow I have ever been privileged to have a pretend sensual experience with. The day I arrived on the set to shoot my scenes in that first Police Academy film (everyone else on the film had been working together for weeks, of course) Mr. Gaynes said, "It seems we are to have an intimate relationship in our scene. I thought it might be nice if we had dinner together first. Are you free this evening?" I of course replied, "If not free, at least reasonable." He got the joke and laughed. (I was playing The Hooker, you see.) We did have dinner together and a lovely chat. It turned out that his wife and I knew each other from dance classes eons before.

The rest of the cast was way too wrapped up in their own efforts to do much socializing, but they all gathered to watch the filming of the podium scene. When it came time for Mr. Gaynes' memorable reaction shots, I got to join the audience and watch. Of course, we couldn't make a sound so everyone, including Yours Truly, nearly wet their pants keeping the laughs from erupting.

Shooting Police Academy III wasn't quite as much fun. I couldn't sit down in that damn dress and I had to remove the false nails every time I had to pee! Believe me, it ain't easy being a "sex goddess"!
