1986 - Birmingham Superprix - Andrew Gilbert Scott accident

Description

This is the accident that ended the F3000 race at the first ever Birmingham Superprix.

He was experiencing handling problems after an earlier spin. When he exited the Bristol Street Motors Bend on the 21st lap, he lost it and crashed into Alain Ferte's stationary car.

It resulted the race to be red-flagged and there was half points awarded to the drivers who finished in the top six.
