It's mid November on the tiny Hebridean Island of Coll. Occasionally the sun peeps through grey clouds, heavy with the rain and the sea sparkles like a jewel in the ocean. The beaches are empty save for my dog Holly who has a beautiful beach all to herself. The chubby white seal pups are growing at an alarming rate lay on the rocks watching me as I watch them. There's fresh otter tracks in the sand, they washed in the burn just a short while ago. I missed them by a few minutes....
