Old Fuller Warren Bridge over Saint John's River - 1997

Description

On our way back from North Carolina in1997, here is the I-95 bridge over the St. John's River in Jacksonville. The new bridge that can be seen under construction was ultimately completed a few years later, and the drawbridge was removed. This was the last interstate drawbridge in Florida (The previous ones that carried I-395 over Biscayne Bay in Miami and I-275 near Maximo Point in St. Petersburg were removed in 1995).
